The same design in reverse shading:
I was imagining shelves of books, with wide or narrow labels on their spines. Using a single colour on either the spines or the labels creates an interesting secondary pattern.

I like these sketches a lot. It’s interesting to see the colors reversed.

Thank you Marla! I think next time I’ll try mocking up the design in Excel or Illustrator to save myself all that colouring in 🙂
