I’ve spent most of my life in Australia, but Christmas time still makes me think of winter and snow rather than summer and sunshine. It’s probably partly (or mostly?) due to being inundated with American pop culture for so long. Anyway, I’ve been playing with the concept of snowflakes lately, so here’s a sixfold-inspired design!
A bit of fun with sawtooth stars this week, surrounding them in layers of colour that end up looking like little explosions.
I’m pretty sure this week’s sketch is the first time I’ve used overlapping curves. In this design, the curves are what I’d consider ‘standard’ – one’s a circle and the other one’s a quarter-circle (or drunkard’s path). So nothing fancy. The only thing that’s new (for me) is that one crosses over the other.
