Sunday sketch #464
When waiting for a train at Flinders Street Station in Melbourne recently, I noticed that the scalloped edges on the roof cast a nice shadow on the platform. What better inspiration for a quilt design?

I’ve incorporated part of last week’s sketch in this week’s sketch, and perhaps inched a smidge away from a traditional design and slightly closer to a more modern (or maybe contemporary?) one.
Remember the 25-patch of half-square triangles from a few weeks ago? This week’s sketch uses that block to create a fairly traditional yet versatile quilt design.
