Sunday sketch #418
When I first imagined this week’s sketch, I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I do. I had an idea of how a single block would look, but I hadn’t really considered how it would interact with adjacent blocks. There’s so much movement and energy!
Sunday sketch #397
The last few Sunday sketches have been two-colour designs in relatively bright shades – and that trend continues this week! I must be feeling a need to get back to basics.
Sunday sketch #396
More often than not, my Sunday sketches are based on standard quilt ‘units’ (squares, rectangles, half-square triangles, drunkard’s paths, etc.), so the designs would be (relatively) easy to make into actual quilts. Occasionally I’ll design something that would require templates and/or paper piecing to accomplish. This week’s sketch is definitely one of those rare occasions where I’m really not sure how I’d approach the construction. I know it would be possible, but I don’t necessarily think it would be easy.
