Often when I create a lot of different designs from one block, I’ll post them all in one week and just describe how I got from one to the next. But I decided that the current series of sketches – which started last week and will continue until mid-March – are sufficiently different to each warrant their own post.

It’s my 400th Sunday sketch – woo hoo! Every time I hit a big round number, I marvel at the fact that I’ve managed to post a new quilt design every week since mid-2016. And it’s still fun! Thanks for following along 🙂

Sunday sketch #398
It’s been a few weeks since I’ve used any curves in a Sunday sketch, so here’s a design with twice the curves to make up for it.
I’ve used half-circles and half-ovals to create elongated clamshell shapes with what look like hoods. I can’t help but see a crowd of people looking this way and that. Continue reading
