Bugs! Well, bug eyes. That’s what I see in this design.

This week’s sketch is an iteration of one of the versions of Sunday sketch #400, but instead of half-circles, I’ve used full circles within the clamshells. And now all I can see are slightly cross-eyed bugs staring out at me.

I tried adding to the palette, and splitting those full circles again, but the design gets very busy very quickly.

Even a two-colour palette with split circles can feel a bit much.

So let’s just stick with the full circles. Sometimes simpler is better!

So that’s four Sunday sketches in a row – #400, #401, #402 and #403 – all based on the same block but appearing quite different. Next week’s design is the last in the series, although by no means the last way in which this block can be rotated, flipped, arranged and coloured to create a new design!
